8. What are the three folders on my server?
Each domain name hosted on our system has a "home directory". Within this
directory, you store all the HTML files, images, scripts, databases and any
other content associated with your website.
When logged into the home directory of one of your domains using FTP you will
see the following folders:
/wwwroot:
This is the folder that the website for the domain name points to. Inside
this folder, you should place your "index" file as well as
any other HTML files, scripts and images that make up your website.
private:
This folder is for advanced users. Scripts running on your site have access to
this folder but the folder is not directly accessible form the web. You should
place any databases your site uses in this folder. If you are using Password
Protection for one of your websites, this folder is good place to put your
password text file.
logfiles:
Every time someone visits your site, the system updates the current log file for
your website. Your log files are stored in this folder and you can download them
and delete them as you wish.

9. What is the CGI-bin directory?
CGI-bin directory is the location within a domain site where CGI scripts are
placed if you wish to execute them.

10. How can I use a DNS-less connection?
You may use a DSN-less connection in your ASP scripts to interact with your
Access database. You may code your ASP scripts to issue commands to your Access
database directly, thus bypassing the ODBC software on the server entirely. This
actually allows for a faster connection and execution time for your database
interaction. For further information on setting up this functionality, please
see the following links:

11. What directories may I execute CGI applications from?
The "CGI-bin" directory, located in your root directory. You cannot create
another CGI-bin elsewhere, or your CGI scripts will not function.

12. What is the path to Perl?
Scripts placed in your cgi-bin will be automatically mapped to the Perl
Interpreter in our Windows 2000 environment. Please use scripts with the .pl
extension as Perl will only be accessed by this extension. Windows 2000 works
like a PC, where file associations tell which program to run for each extension,
thus there is NO need to know the location of Perl on the server or map to
Perl.exe.

13. What version of Perl is installed?
We are currently running Active Perl Build 522 on our Windows 2003 servers.
Please see the following link for additional documentation on the version of Perl:
